This measure already existed for the capital’s residents aged 65 and over but now young people are included. Higher Education students in Medicine or Architecture, will be able to travel free of charge up until 24 years of age.
Students can adhere to this measure since the 16th of August but can only carry the title from the 26th, to be used in the month of September.
The Municipality of Lisbon’s measure is part of the goals of “Sustenta Ambiental”, in the fight against climate change as well as improving mobility, by promoting an efficient mobility, which is economically and environmentally friendly.
Permanent residents in the Municipality of Lisbon, aged 65 or over and holders of a navigante® (or Lisboa Viva) card with the +65 profile can join this measure, as well as students aged between 13 and 23 years old, holders of a navigante® (or Lisboa Viva) card with the 4_18@escola.tp or sub23@superior.tp profile.
